Introducing Alejandro Victores, MD ’20 🎙What inspired you to pursue medicine? “Losing my grandmother to colorectal cancer was a major impetus to pursuing a career in medicine. I wanted to offer patients care of the same caliber that she received in her last days. I think that at some points, I lost that sense of purpose throughout this journey. I started to feel removed from what I was doing day-to-day and my training became rote and automated. I’m finally in a place where I’ve rediscovered that purpose and harnessed it–for my grandmother and for myself.”
